History

 

McKay opened in 1979. Our school was named after Douglas McKay, the 25th governor of Oregon, who served from 1949-1952. Governor McKay was also Secretary of the Interior in President Eisenhower's Cabinet.

 

About Our School

 

McKay is a traditional high school serving students in grades 9–12. Average enrollment for our school is 2,000 students. Bilingual services are available, and our nickname is the Royal Scots.
